Any Help is Appreciated
My work lacks a certain "something." I'm looking for views from others on what it might be. There is a particular quality, or lack of, which leaves almost everything I do feeling empty, lifeless. I'm aware of the technical struggles I haven't managed to approach or conquer, such as anatomy, scenery, detailing, dynamic poses, and perspective. This problem goes beyond technical skill, and aquiring these skills wont make this problem go away. This would be something that appears in most or all of my work. This is something that is crucial to the appeal of art and what art represents.
I'm seeking thoughts, observations, impressions, suggestions, and advice, where possible, from anyone that would like to offer it. There are no right or wrong answers, and I'm not looking for any praise. Art is supposed to make you think, feel, or show you what's beautiful, what's ugly. What does my art tell you, but more importantly, what doesn't it say? What's missing?
Let me know what you think.
Thanks a lot,
SalaciaP.S. You're welcome to leave technical skill critiquing as well if you'd like.CONTEST PRIZE
