Knees by Salacia-of-Vanadiel Knees by Salacia-of-Vanadiel
Knees don't often get much attention, so I figured if anything this might inspire more people to focus on some of the details that are often over-shadowed by more important elements.

You'll have to excuse the very primitive work, as this is more of a documentation of what I noticed. With observation you'll find real knees to be much more detailed and... precise. xD

I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but I hope it does! Have fun drawing knees! :D

I know this is a strange request... But could you if you ever get time, would you do something similar to this on joints? ;3;
Like at the wrist, fingers, toes etc.
I really like how you did this and would like to see someone else's perspective on those things.

Sorry to bother you ;A;

I love this :3 One problem I always have with knees is I tend to try to shape/detail them using lineart. I'll try using more shading and whatnot instead!

Now I feel dumb ._. I guess we get bad habits and its hard to shake them, even when we know they are wrong or produce bad results.

I think whether or not you use lines or shading (or anything else) is a matter of style. Do whatever you like most! :nod:

Yes, bad habits are definitely hard to undo, but don't feel stupid. There's no reason to! XD There are hundreds of little detail differences you may not think of until you see them or they're pointed out to you. I discover these kinds of things almost regularly! :D

I'm glad this gave you some new ideas to play with though! :dance:

I'll give you a knee, or a heads-up, if it has worked out for me XD

I'm sure whatever you decide to do, it'll be the bees' knees.

Oh ho! - I do believe that's 1 point for me!
